- Daily Census: 0-4 (95% newborns)
- Overnight Census: 0-4
- Overnight Calls: Yes. Not needed to stay on site ; return only for emergencies & respond to ER phone consults
- Daytime Admission: 1-2
- Nighttime Admissions: 1 (newborns)
- Physician Coverage: 12h + 12h Call
- Mid-Level Coverage: 0h
- EMR: Meditech & GE Centricity Perinatal
- Floor Codes: ER Attending is initial responder to all trauma and pediatric ED emergencies. Pediatrician is sole responder for neonatal emergencies, high risk deliveries, and neonatal resuscitation with requirement to respond within 30 minutes
- Procedures: Must be comfortable w/ NRP- intubation, umbilical lines
- Pediatric Beds: 0 (Basic Admits to Adult MedSurg ; Majority transferred)
- Pediatric ICU Beds: 0 (Transferred)
- Specialty Support: Limited
- L &D Information: Level 1 Nursery [35 wk+, 2000 g+], 6 L&D rooms, 1.5 FTE OB's + OB Hospitalist weekend coverage, couplet care, 2 transition nursery beds (brief CPAP & IVF allow), OR for C-sections, MD attendance required for all C-sections, referring perinatal center MUSC Charleston (~1 hr transfer travel time)
- Shift Times: 12h Shifts (7a-7p) with 12h Night Call
