Nocturnist Critical Care Physicians Needed in Western North Carolina

Provider Qualifications Required:

• BC in Critical Care (or EM with CC Fellowship)
• License Requirements: NC License and DEA
• Anticipated Creds Timeline: 2-3 months. Temps MAY be possible

Facility Information:

• Average Daily Census: 15
• Average Number of Hospitalists per Day: 1 on night shift with APP assistance
• ICU Beds: (open or closed): OPEN, but functions as Closed. Primary Admissions Team
  • ICU Beds: 18 ICU
  • Average Daily Census: 15
  • Pulmonology/Intensivist Backup available? Yes
• Physician Schedule: 7 on/ 7 off. However, until March, the need is F, S, S, and M only.
• APP coverage: Yes: 2 on at night to cross-cover on the floor. APP also admits to the floor. The nocturnist will provide oversight.
• EMR:  Cerner
