Multiple Sites in Austin area Need EM Physicians

Site 1:

ABEM/BEEM Only (Current ACLS, PALS required. Must have prior ATLS, but does not have to be current)

• Annual Vol: 23000
• Physician Coverage: 24h
• Mid-Level Coverage: 10h (11a- 9p)
• Admission Rate: 16%
• Trauma Level: IV
• EMR: PICIS
• Scribes: No
• Floor Codes: Yes
• Emergency Department Beds: 18
• Specialty Backup: Robust
• Shift Times: 12h Shifts (7a-7p ; 7p-7a)
• Primary need is nights. Will not consider candidates only willing to work AM shifts.
• Minimum # of shifts acceptable: 3-4/month

Site 2:

ABEM/BEEM (Current ACLS, PALS required. Must have prior ATLS, but does not have to be current) or ABFM/ABIM with EM experience (current ACLS, ATLC, PALS required)

• Annual Vol: 8000
• Patients/Hour: 1
• Physician Coverage: 24h
• Mid-Level Coverage: 0h
• Admission Rate: 2%
• Trauma Level: IV
• EMR: Picis
• Scribes: No
• Floor Codes: Yes
• Hospital Beds: 25
• Emergency Department Beds: 5
• Specialty Backup: Limited - most admits are transferred
• Shift Times: 24h Shifts (8 - 8)
• Minimum # of shifts acceptable: 1-2 (24h) if local. If traveling and wanting flight reimbursement, we ask for a minimum of 3 (24) hour shifts
