Emergency Medicine Opportunities – Community Hospital System (Eastern Tennessee)

Cross-credentialing within the system may be required.

Site A – Community Hospital (Foothills Region)

Qualifications:

• ABEM/BEEM only

Facility Overview:

• ~24,000 annual ED visits
• Approx. 1.9 patients per hour
• 16 ED beds
• 55 hospital beds
• No trauma designation
• Cerner EMR
• No scribe coverage
• Transition orders utilized

Coverage Model:

• 24-hour physician coverage
• 12–20 hours weekly APP coverage

Specialty Backup:

Cardiology, General Surgery, Neurology, OB/GYN, Pulmonology

Stroke and Chest Pain Certified

Shift Structure:

• 12-hour shifts (7a–7p; 7p–7a)

Site B – Community Hospital (Rural Eastern Tennessee)

Qualifications:

• ABEM/BEEM only
• ACLS and PALS required

Facility Overview:

• ~24,000 annual ED visits
• Approx. 1.8 patients per hour
• 16 ED beds
• Level III Trauma designation
• Cerner EMR
• No scribe coverage
• No admitting orders required

Coverage Model:

• 24-hour physician coverage
• 12–16 hours daily APP coverage

Specialty Backup:

Noninvasive Cardiology (weekday coverage), Gastroenterology (weekday coverage), Gynecology, FM/OB, Orthopedics, Neurology (scheduled shifts), 24/7 Tele-neurology, Pulmonology, General Surgery, Nephrology, and additional outpatient specialties.

Shift Structure:

• 12-hour shifts (7a–7p; 7p–7a)
