Anesthesiologist Opening 1 hour west of Boston, MA

Join a collaborative anesthesia care team in a well-established hospital setting just an hour west of Boston. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Locum Anesthesiologist seeking a stable, high-quality assignment in a collegial environment.

Position Details

• Setting: Hospital-based
• EMR: Epic
• Care Team Model: 5 MDs / 5 CRNAs
• Average Daily Staffing:
  • 3 Physicians / 5 CRNAs
  • 2 Physicians supervising CRNAs
  • 1 Physician providing direct patient care
• Late Coverage: 2 rooms open until 5:30 p.m.
• After Hours: Single provider coverage after 5:30 p.m.
• Facilities: 6 ORs, 2 Endo Suites, 1 Procedure Room
• Procedures: Physicians perform all epidurals and blocks

Case Mix

• Annual Volume: ~5,200 cases
• Specialties: Orthopedic, GI, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Minimal Peds (ENT)
• Techniques: General, regional, neuro-axial, and acute pain management
• Exclusions: No trauma, no cardiac, no OB, no open head cases

Schedule & Call

• Shifts: 10-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
• Call:
  • 1 physician on beeper call nights and weekends
  • Call ratio: 1:5 weekdays and weekends (Saturday/Sunday)
  • Weekend call: 24-hour beeper
  • No in-house call and no post-call day off
